Base Salary
$187k - $268k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop software for Cisco Nexus 9000 datacenter switching and AI networking environments.
- Lead medium-to-large features and projects from technical design through completion across multiple teams.
- Write clean production code and unit tests while influencing secure, scalable, and reliable architectural decisions.
- Debug and resolve software issues in development and production systems, including customer escalations.
- Design and maintain monitoring tools, respond to alerts, lead postmortems, and support root-cause analysis and on-call coverage.
- Contribute to threat modeling, risk management, software development lifecycle practices, and engineering strategy.
- Mentor engineers, improve technical designs and development processes, and influence the software engineering roadmap.
- Communicate delivery trade-offs, estimates, and technical decisions with cross-functional partners and customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of related experience, master’s degree plus 6 years, or PhD plus 3 years.
- Experience with datacenter switches and networking.
- Experience handling customer escalations and troubleshooting L2/L3 technologies and NXOS infrastructure.
- Preferred experience with L2/L3/VXLAN forwarding, AI networking, customer support, and scripting or development in networking.
- Ability to design and maintain scalable infrastructure automation using Python.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for aligning technical and non-technical customers.
- Comfort using AI tools such as Copilot and Cursor.

- Salary range is $186,900.00 to $267,700.00, with additional location-specific ranges listed for certain U.S. states and regions.
