Base Salary
$240k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Convex’s global cloud infrastructure.
- Investigate and improve the performance and reliability of systems.
- Prioritize projects in collaboration with the engineering team and CTO.
- Own architectural decisions impacting core systems.
- Establish technical direction and engineering standards.
- Work across the stack as needed.
- Write systems and database code.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in backend or systems engineering.
- Experience building and scaling large systems.
- Strong systems judgment and understanding of tradeoffs.
- Ability to work in fast-moving environments with shifting requirements.
- Interest in working in-person at Convex's office in SF.
- Ability to write high-quality code, with Rust knowledge as a plus.
- Enthusiasm for understanding Convex systems deeply.
