Responsibilities
- Build and enhance core platform features using Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, and backend technologies.
- Own the full software lifecycle, including requirements analysis, prototyping, design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and support.
- Design and implement high-quality APIs and backend systems with attention to correctness, maintainability, and sustainability.
- Analyze and challenge business requirements, brainstorm technology solutions, and design efficient cloud solutions.
- Perform business analysis activities such as backlog prioritization, business validation before go-live, and communication with external stakeholders.
- Serve as deputy to the Team Lead for business-related tasks and contribute to team decision-making and delivery.
- Promote well-crafted design, code, and testing practices across the team.
Requirements
- Mid-level software engineering experience with hands-on design and implementation of modern APIs and backend systems.
- Strong knowledge of JVM-based languages, particularly Java and Kotlin.
- Experience with Spring or Spring Boot and the listed backend, messaging, observability, and database technologies.
- Good knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and Cassandra.
- Ability to complete projects with minimal supervision and direction.
- Knowledge of scalable software architecture and distributed systems is beneficial.
- Sound knowledge of financial instruments such as reference data, pricing, and corporate actions is beneficial; interest in learning them is required.
- Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design, BDD, or TDD is appreciated.
- Ability to analyze business requirements, develop technology ideas, and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
