Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and maintain scalable microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Integrate applications with internal and external systems.
- Implement documented, unit-tested components and contribute to solution architecture.
- Perform unit and integration testing, code reviews, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution.
- Optimize application performance and ensure high availability.
- Support deployment and release activities and build CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, architects, and other stakeholders.
- Provide work estimates and guide features, functional objectives, or technologies.
- Take technical ownership of design and delivery while supporting customer-focused outcomes.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of overall experience as a Lead Engineer or Senior Software Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in Java 8 or above.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA.
- Solid front-end exposure using React.
- Strong experience with microservices architecture and REST API development.
- Understanding of API design, versioning, and documentation.
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes at a basic to intermediate level.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Banking/BFSI domain experience, high-volume and high-availability enterprise systems experience, and prior technical lead ownership of design and delivery are preferred.
