Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services while contributing to frontend features where required.
Build high-quality, well-tested software using modern engineering and DevOps practices.
Contribute to architecture, system design, and technical decision-making across the platform.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.
Review code, mentor teammates, and improve engineering standards.
Troubleshoot production issues and improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.

5–6+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong backend focus and frontend exposure.
Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, React, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and AWS.
Experience designing scalable systems and distributed architectures.
Daily experience using AI coding tools such as Cursor and Claude Code.
Strong understanding of Test-Driven Development, software engineering best practices, and clean code principles.
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a preferred qualification.
Experience with highly scalable SaaS platforms and Agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban is preferred.

Fully remote work within approximately two hours of CET, with WorkFlex allowing work from anywhere and at any time.
Full-time employment with a starting salary of €55,000 gross per annum.
