Base Salary
$66k - $106k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain COBOL, CICS, JCL, and FOCUS applications for the Defense Joint Military Payroll System on IBM mainframe operating systems.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate software activities across multiple functional areas, products, teams, and projects.
- Prioritize projects, products, and resources with architects and managers.
- Participate in technology strategy, software product definition, and implementation decisions.
- Direct software development projects, including schedules, quality standards, status communication, variance justification, and technical information.
- Create project plans covering goals, strategy, roles, milestones, risks, contingencies, and resource allocation.
- Monitor emerging technology standards and opportunities.
- Make employment decisions such as hiring and rewarding employees.
Requirements
- A BS/BA with two years of experience, an MS/MA with zero years of experience, or a high school diploma/equivalent with six years of experience.
- Strong COBOL and JCL experience in a mainframe environment.
- Experience specifying software requirement changes.
- Experience designing and developing software systems.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to obtain Public Trust.
