Base Salary
$89k - $134k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and lead implementation of reliable, understandable product features.
- Build and deploy projects spanning backend services and fully featured user interfaces.
- Design and optimize mobile web experiences that drive Yelp app installs and user acquisition.
- Run A/B experiments and analyze resulting data for trends.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Legal, Design, and Marketing teams on product and technical roadmaps.
- Lead large projects involving multiple people in a distributed environment.
- Mentor other engineers and share technical knowledge.
- Complete a React and Flask coding exercise during the final panel interview.
Requirements
- Ideally 3–5 years of industry experience.
- Deep understanding of at least one server-side web framework such as Django, Flask, Rails, Pyramid, Laravel, or Express.
- Experience with a modern JavaScript frontend framework such as React, Angular, Vue, or Ember.
- Ability to lead large, collaborative projects involving multiple people.
- Experience contributing to or leading technical roadmaps.
- Experience mentoring other engineers.
