Responsibilities
- Design and build the backend runtime for Vinted’s agent platform on Kubernetes and AWS.
- Develop isolated sandboxes, coding harnesses, multi-step agent workflows, agent memory, and runtime agent and skill management.
- Implement agent identity and delegated user access using Okta, along with MCP integrations for BigQuery, GitHub, Slack, Atlassian, and other tools.
- Build self-service capabilities that allow teams to create and run their own agents.
- Lead technical initiatives from idea to production, including RFCs, architecture decisions, and operational reliability and observability.
- Mentor engineers and support agentic development practices across the organization.
- Participate in the internal-user on-duty rotation, currently once every six weeks.
Requirements
- Proficiency in backend engineering and system design, preferably using Python, Ruby, Go, or Rust.
- Demonstrated experience designing, building, and scaling backend systems or internal platforms for multiple teams.
- Thorough understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and underlying infrastructure.
- Ability to design for scalability and extensibility while making pragmatic technical-debt decisions.
- Security-conscious approach to authentication, authorization, least-privilege access, and auditing.
- Frequent use of AI coding tools and willingness to help others maximize their use.
- Effective communication of technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred experience running LLM platforms in production, including agent development, MCP integrations, retrieval, or evaluations.
- Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, or similar infrastructure is a bonus.
