Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Java developers and promote coding standards and best practices.
- Develop technical designs and contribute to scalable Java applications and the Cards API layer.
- Define technical requirements with business and IT stakeholders.
- Modernize legacy applications and support migration to cloud-native solutions.
- Contribute code, conduct code reviews, and facilitate development standardization.
- Provide solution effort estimates and create solution design and technical documentation.
- Identify and escalate risks related to solution architecture and IT decisions.
- Coordinate communication with business units, IT Operations, and external vendors.
- Support effective IT development processes and maintain visibility into development tools and processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience developing and deploying Java applications.
- Professional proficiency with Java, the Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
- Experience building cloud-native applications; AWS is preferred and Azure is acceptable.
- Familiarity with architecture patterns and strong knowledge of microservice architecture.
- Expertise with CI/CD, Git, Docker, and virtualization.
- Professional knowledge of software development methodologies.
- Fluent spoken and written English for Pan-Baltic collaboration.
- Experience migrating on-premises applications to cloud applications is preferred.
- Banking, card payment systems, and software development team leadership experience are preferred.
