Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain x86 coreboot, Intel FSP, and BIOS firmware.
- Understand and work with coreboot and FSP boot flows, build tools, and build processes.
- Integrate and work with coreboot payloads including edk2, SeaBIOS, and Tianocore.
- Read platform hardware and processor specifications to perform coreboot mainboard porting.
- Support platform bring-up and customer-platform firmware development.
- Work with GPIO, PCIe lanes, board FMD configurations, and payload-to-OS-bootloader handoff.
- Work with protocols and platform technologies including I2C, PCIe, SPI, eSPI, ACPI, and SMM.
Requirements
- 4 to 10 years of experience in x86 coreboot, FSP, or BIOS development.
- Experience with Intel FSP package source code and coreboot/FSP boot flow.
- Experience with x86 CPU/APU architectures and associated compilation tools.
- Familiarity with coreboot boot stages, UPDs, memory maps, FSP, device tree concepts, payloads, and OS bootloader handoff.
- Experience with platform bring-up and mainboard porting on customer platforms.
- Working experience with I2C, PCIe, SPI, eSPI, ACPI, and SMM.
- Experience with the open-source coreboot project, GPIO, PCIe lanes, and board FMD configurations.
