Base Salary
$120k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set technical direction for the data platform and own the architecture roadmap.
- Lead the evolution of analytics and ingestion systems for scalability.
- Define the event model for next-generation AI workloads.
- Drive cross-team technical decisions and represent the Platform perspective.
- Establish SLOs and capacity planning processes for data infrastructure.
- Mentor senior engineers and establish engineering patterns.
- Work with Product and Customer Engineering to translate data challenges into platform capabilities.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in building and operating production data platforms.
- Proven track record of leading multi-quarter technical initiatives.
- Deep expertise in streaming systems, OLAP databases, and relational databases.
- Strong proficiency in Python and ability to make framework tradeoff decisions.
- Experience designing multi-tenant data architectures with strong performance guarantees.
- Production operations maturity in incident leadership and capacity planning.
- Ability to communicate architectural decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
