Responsibilities
- Define and lead end-to-end solution architecture for regulatory reporting platforms.
- Design scalable, low-latency, event-driven architectures using Kafka, Spark, Flink, and cloud-native technologies.
- Drive delivery of complex regulatory initiatives, architecture governance, design reviews, performance optimization, and production readiness.
- Partner with Business, Compliance, Operations, and Technology stakeholders to translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
- Drive data quality, lineage, governance, and reporting controls across the platform.
- Lead and mentor engineering teams while providing technical direction and architectural guidance.
- Design and implement AI-powered solutions using LLMs, RAG architectures, AI agents, vector search, and related technologies.
- Drive cloud adoption, DevOps automation, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 13-15+ years of relevant experience in regulatory reporting, big data, cloud, AI/ML, enterprise architecture, capital markets, or RegTech.
- 8+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
- Strong expertise in Spring Boot, distributed systems, and enterprise application development.
- Experience designing low-latency streaming architectures using Kafka, Spark, Flink, and the Hadoop ecosystem.
- Experience with MongoDB, NoSQL databases, Hive, Impala, Elastic Search, Oracle, JMS, and TIBCO.
- Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, BitBucket, Jira, and release management processes.
- Strong proficiency in Python and AI application development, including hands-on experience with GPT, Claude, Gemini, and similar LLMs.
- Experience building AI agents using LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar frameworks.
- Expertise in RAG architectures, embeddings, vector databases, semantic search, prompt engineering, tool calling, workflow orchestration, and MCP integrations.
- Experience with Pinecone, Chroma, FAISS, or equivalent vector databases, plus LoRA/QLoRA fine-tuning and the Hugging Face ecosystem.
- Experience delivering large-scale regulatory reporting or capital markets solutions and understanding trade lifecycle events, order and execution processing, FIX, FpML, and ISO20022.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, align technology strategy with business objectives, and deliver under tight regulatory timelines.
- Preferred qualifications include implementing AI solutions in regulated financial environments, exposure to RegTech platforms, and driving enterprise-wide data modernization and AI transformation initiatives.
