Responsibilities
- Architect and build scalable data ingestion pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data architectures, and integration strategies.
- Design secure data ingestion frameworks and manage hybrid cloud data environments supporting big data platforms.
- Lead database design, data modeling, data exchange protocols, governance, and data management practices.
- Contribute to data-product strategy, vision, roadmaps, and execution from launch through scale.
- Coordinate cross-functional product initiatives, communicate technical milestones and product performance, and mitigate business, operational, and governance risks.
- Collaborate with data scientists to curate high-quality, model-ready datasets and map data fields to business hypotheses.
- Build and deploy maintainable, secure, scalable production solutions while promoting quality, automation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience delivering impact through data engineering, software development, or analytics.
- Demonstrated success launching and scaling technical products or platforms.
- Strong programming skills in at least two of Python, SQL, and Java.
- Deep knowledge of distributed systems, relational databases, and NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of software engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing frameworks, CI/CD, and code maintainability.
- Experience deploying applications to production, including packaging, monitoring, and release management.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with traditional ETL tools and data warehousing concepts.
- Strong understanding of data security, compliance, and governance best practices.
- Experience leading or influencing cross-functional teams in a product or platform environment.
- Ability to analyze complex and disparate datasets and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
- Commercial experience with client-facing projects, especially in multidisciplinary teams, is a plus.
