Base Salary

$146k - $264k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and troubleshoot deployment-related issues across various environments, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
  • Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end test frameworks for code changes.
  • Create and maintain test plans and test cases for microservices, including relevant scenarios and edge cases.
  • Collaborate with engineering groups on integration testing and improve testing environments.
  • Investigate requirements for safe deployment and rollback strategies and verify those requirements during deployment.
  • Write and maintain scripts to automate platform service deployments.

Requirements

  • Eight years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Python and Pytest and a good understanding of modern testing methodologies.
  • Expertise in cloud-native infrastructure with an understanding of system internals and performance.
  • Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and SaltStack.
  • Good Linux fundamentals, particularly performance tuning, plus Bash and scripting fundamentals.
  • Understanding of modern software development lifecycle processes and service-level objective monitoring and alerting.
