Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and execute non-functional test plans, strategies, estimations, scenarios, and reports.
- Design, develop, and maintain performance and resilience test scripts using JMeter, Gatling, and related tools.
- Plan, prepare, execute, and analyze performance, load, stress, endurance, capacity, resilience, recovery, and chaos testing.
- Develop end-to-end non-functional testing strategies for distributed, integrated, microservices-based cloud environments.
- Prepare test environments, workloads, and test data and monitor system resources, application behavior, and platform metrics.
- Investigate non-functional defects and performance bottlenecks and recommend improvements to performance, reliability, scalability, and resilience.
- Execute resilience and chaos engineering scenarios using ChaosToolkit, Kraken, or similar technologies.
- Provide technical guidance to QA engineers and developers and collaborate with development, DevOps, and operations teams.
- Develop testing standards, best practices, documentation, stakeholder presentations, and reporting.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of relevant IT professional experience, including at least 6 years in non-functional, performance, resilience, or load testing roles.
- Level 6 bachelor's degree or equivalent in an ICT-relevant field.
- Strong hands-on experience with JMeter, Gatling, or similar performance testing tools.
- Expertise in test planning, strategy, estimation, workload and test case design, test platform setup, test data preparation, and defect management.
- Experience analyzing application performance, resource utilization, and system bottlenecks across complex distributed environments.
- Hands-on experience with resilience and chaos testing tools such as ChaosToolkit and Kraken.
- Practical Java development or automation experience.
- Experience with microservices architectures, containerized platforms, private cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, monitoring, and observability platforms.
- Strong documentation, reporting, communication, stakeholder presentation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in Agile software development and testing environments and international, multicultural teams.
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm, Podman, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack, Splunk, Kafka, GitHub CI/CD, Selenium, Playwright, Postman, Kreya, Tricentis qTest, Jira Xray, and PostgreSQL is considered an asset.
