Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end applied AI architecture, including model selection, orchestration, RAG, evaluations, guardrails, and production cost and latency budgets.
- Build Dossbot as a natural-language interface for searching, analyzing, and automating operations across live supply-chain, finance, and operational data.
- Develop AI-assisted tools that propose, validate, and apply customer schemas and workflow definitions on production tenants.
- Design permission-aware, auditable, tenant-isolated agentic workflows that can safely act on customers’ systems of record.
- Build evaluation and observability infrastructure to measure quality, detect regressions, and identify anomalous or risky behavior.
- Partner with product, design, and the Forward Deployed team on high-leverage AI use cases.
- Mentor engineers and shape the company’s applied AI engineering culture.
Requirements
- Experience shipping and operating LLM-powered features or agents in production at scale, beyond prototypes or demos.
- Deep hands-on experience with foundation model APIs, RAG pipelines, tool use or function calling, prompt and context engineering, and applicable fine-tuning.
- Experience building evaluation harnesses and guardrails for non-deterministic systems operating on business-critical data.
- Strong backend fundamentals, including system design, Postgres, and cloud services for reliable multi-tenant web applications.
- Ability to take ambiguous projects from zero to one and exercise judgment about when AI is appropriate.
