Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python applications used by internal and external clients.
- Produce high-quality code through code reviews, pairing, and continuous delivery.
- Collaborate with QA and business analysts on automated tests and testing tools.
- Work with operations teams to ensure applications run effectively and efficiently in production.
- Collaborate across teams to improve technical practices and participate in future-development design sessions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related field.
- Experience with an object-oriented programming language, preferably Python.
- Understanding of version control systems, unit and acceptance testing, and Test-Driven Development practices.
- Hands-on experience with SQL or MongoDB.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, distributed systems, Agile practices, and AWS services such as SQS, S3, and SNS.
- Preferred experience includes messaging middleware, Jira, CodeBuild or similar CI/CD tools, production application support, design patterns, Docker, Kubernetes, Kibana, and Elasticsearch.
