Responsibilities
- Create and update API and microservice designs and supporting documentation.
- Deliver high-quality code supporting customer payment journeys.
- Design, build, and maintain distributed containerized platforms.
- Develop deployment pipelines supporting automated deployments.
- Review and sign off user stories and low-level designs with Business Analysts and Tech Architects.
- Conduct code reviews and uphold engineering standards aligned with architecture principles.
- Collaborate with IT Project Management and other delivery stakeholders to shape plans and resolve blockers.
- Prepare production-support walkthroughs, runbooks, and release checklists.
- Promote adoption of new technologies within the engineering team.
Requirements
- Experience as a software engineering professional, with strong full-stack engineering capability.
- Experience applying Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, and Istio Service Mesh.
- Experience with Bash or Shell, Groovy or Java, Unix or Linux, Jenkins, and GitHub.
- Ability to design and maintain distributed containerized platforms and automated deployment pipelines.
- Ability to document APIs and microservices clearly and apply consistent code review practices.
- Ability to collaborate with Tech Architects, Scrum Leads, Test and QA teams, Business Analysts, and IT Project Management.
- Ability to support production readiness through practical runbooks, walkthroughs, and release controls.
