Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex APIs, integration services, and event-driven solutions.
- Lead delivery across cloud, SaaS, legacy, and partner integrations.
- Define reusable patterns for orchestration, transformation, resilience, and error handling.
- Drive API lifecycle practices covering security, versioning, testing, and observability.
- Design AI-enabled integrations and agent-driven automation workflows.
- Support integration platforms running on Kubernetes with Infrastructure as Code.
- Mentor engineers through reviews, workshops, and professional communities.
- Contribute to the Integration & API Center of Excellence through cloud-native integration, platform engineering, AI-powered automation, and agentic integration.
Requirements
- Over five years of experience in integration or backend engineering and scalable enterprise solutions.
- Strong hands-on expertise with MuleSoft, Boomi, Azure Integration Services, SAP Integration Suite, Apache Camel, or a comparable platform.
- Experience with Apigee, Azure API Management, Kong, or Gravitee and event technologies such as Kafka, Confluent, or Service Bus.
- Experience integrating AI-powered applications, copilots, or autonomous agents is preferred; MCP, orchestration frameworks, vector databases, and AI integration patterns are advantageous.
- Experience building or operating integration platforms on Kubernetes.
- Terraform, GitOps, Internal Developer Platforms, and platform automation experience are highly valued.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP, containers, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Excellent English and the ability to lead technical discussions; German is a plus.
