Base Salary
$150k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve ambiguous technical problems from triage through completion.
- Own deployment requests for frontier AI labs, data vendors, and internal teams across the full lifecycle.
- Build tools and one-off pipelines to address urgent customer and partner needs.
- Coordinate with research and go-to-market teams to unblock deployments.
- Document recurring issues and convert manual work into reusable tools and processes.
- Handle urgent production, customer, and deployment issues while balancing speed, quality, correctness, and security.
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of experience in applied research engineering, forward-deployed engineering, or a comparable hands-on technical role.
- Strong generalist AI engineering skills and the ability to work quickly under pressure.
- Proficiency in Python, Docker, and Linux environments.
- Experience with benchmarks and evaluations, including judgment about task realism, rubric reliability, and trajectory quality for RL training.
- Strong debugging skills across code, data, and environments.
- Ability to operate independently in ambiguous situations without a prescribed roadmap.
- Comfort working directly with technical customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in an early-stage startup environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration across time zones.
