Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the Graviton bare-metal virtualization layer, including KVM/QEMU VM management, subsystem lifecycle, health monitoring, and fault recovery.
- Develop embedded software, device drivers, system applications, and microcontroller or emulated peripheral integrations using Rust, C, C++, Python, Bash, or other modern languages.
- Build and maintain AMI pipelines and provisioning scripts for deploying satellite software, firmware, certificates, and dependencies onto emulated LRUs.
- Extend the Graviton plugin framework for satellites, gateways, customer terminals, and other virtual entity types.
- Implement VM networking, WireGuard tunnels, TT&C link emulation, boot-time optimization, provisioning latency improvements, and fidelity features such as HSM, EFUSE, CAN bus, and error-injection emulation.
- Debug host and guest operating system issues and support board bring-up and integration testing with software and hardware teams.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Bash or shell automation and Perl or Python programming.
- Experience with Linux systems programming using C, Rust, Python, or Bash.
- Experience with virtualization or emulation such as KVM, QEMU, or Docker.
- Familiarity with embedded Linux boot processes, systemd, device drivers, or Yocto/Buildroot.
- Preferred experience includes ARM64 or Graviton, QEMU device emulation, QMP, device drivers, microcontrollers, network virtualization, satellite or hardware test environments, EC2 bare-metal, SSM, AMI/image-building pipelines, certificate provisioning, secure boot, HSM interfaces, Python packaging, container image management, and Rust systems programming.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee due to export-control requirements.
