Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, and maintain scalable and resilient software systems using Java or Python.
- Lead team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering tools for coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Establish validation practices covering secure coding, peer review, automated testing, correctness, performance, and security of AI-assisted outputs.
- Produce or contribute to application architecture and design artifacts and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets and create visualizations and reports to improve software applications and system architecture.
- Identify data patterns and hidden problems that inform coding hygiene and architecture improvements.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and promote diversity, inclusion, opportunity, and respect.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Proficiency in Java or Python and experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle, application resiliency, security, and software applications or technical processes in disciplines such as cloud, artificial intelligence, or machine learning.
- Preferred familiarity with modern front-end technologies, identity and access management solutions, and AI/ML technologies.
