Responsibilities
- Define and execute test strategies and release test plans covering scope, risks, schedules, and entry/exit criteria.
- Co-author acceptance criteria and Gherkin scenarios with Product and serve as a quality gatekeeper before releases.
- Build and maintain Playwright web end-to-end tests for real-world customer journeys.
- Govern Android and iOS mobile end-to-end testing with engineers using device-farm and test-matrix approaches.
- Integrate smoke and regression automation into CI/CD quality gates with GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
- Manage test environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Analyse test results with Grafana or similar tools and improve feedback loops.
- Combine automated, exploratory, and manual testing to cover edge cases, reduce flakiness, and improve parallelization.
- Coach engineers on TDD, BDD, contract testing, synthetic data, and shift-left practices.
- Advocate AI-assisted testing, including test generation, visual regression, and maintenance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as an SDET or hands-on QA professional with an automation-first mindset.
- Strong experience with test planning, acceptance-criteria design, and collaboration with Product and UX.
- Experience with Playwright, Espresso, and XCUITest for web, Android, and iOS testing.
- Proficiency in Java and JavaScript/TypeScript, with experience testing Angular SPAs, mobile applications, and microservices.
- Experience with API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or equivalent tools.
- Experience with CI/CD, GitHub Actions or Jenkins, BDD/Gherkin, and web and mobile end-to-end testing.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, and Docker/Kubernetes.
- Experience with device and browser farms such as Sauce Labs or BrowserStack.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.
- Experience with non-functional testing covering performance, security, accessibility, and localization.
- Excellent communication skills for working in distributed teams across India, Vietnam, and Europe.
- Nice-to-have experience in digital banking, martech, campaign or engagement management, SaaS, enterprise software testing, performance testing, AI/ML product testing, or tools such as k6, Gatling, JMeter, XRay, CucumberStudio, SonarCloud, and security tooling.
