Responsibilities

  • Analyze software and functional requirements and design high-quality embedded software.
  • Develop efficient, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
  • Develop bare-metal and Linux drivers for embedded devices based on i.MX processors.
  • Develop or customize board support packages and perform board bring-up activities.
  • Implement developer-level unit and component testing using Google Test and Gherkin syntax.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software issues.
  • Create technical documentation and comply with development policies.
  • Stay current with technical advances, advocate best practices, and mentor junior developers.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of relevant developer experience in a Linux development environment.
  • At least 3 years of experience developing custom Embedded Linux operating systems with Yocto, BitBake recipes, and OpenEmbedded.
  • Experience with embedded development, Linux device drivers, integration, board bring-up, programming, debugging, troubleshooting, and functionality testing.
  • Advanced hands-on knowledge of C, C++, shell scripting, and Python.
  • Strong knowledge of Embedded Linux systems, low-level drivers, BSPs, open-source software, and Yocto.
  • Understanding of electronics hardware, including schematics and datasheet reading, is an added advantage.
