Responsibilities
- Lead programming and testing of batch systems to meet client requirements.
- Own end-to-end batch delivery, including client interactions and technology support.
- Create and review analysis and test plans aligned with requirements.
- Configure, analyze, debug, and maintain batch systems and resolve programming, system, and batch defects.
- Monitor automated production jobs and coordinate prompt attention, escalation, and closure of job failures.
- Ensure post-implementation stability, continuous system readiness, technical excellence, quality assurance, and solution delivery.
- Translate client requirements and legislation into system specifications with internal teams.
- Coach and develop team members and lead knowledge enhancement initiatives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and client and organizational initiatives.
Requirements
- Advanced hands-on expertise in SQL and SAS programming, or JCL and DB2.
- Advanced debugging experience with programming, system, and batch defects.
- Strong knowledge of DB2 relational databases and data models, data flows, data processing, common data stores, SAS functions and utilities, and JCL/mainframe concepts.
- Ability to translate client requirements and legislation into system specifications.
- Proficiency in at least one domain solution; health or retirement is preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
- B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or ECE, or BCA plus MCA.
- Prior experience with Alight, Aon, or Wipro is an added advantage; health or retirement domain experience is preferred.
