Responsibilities
- Own Filestore data-plane layers from entry-point networking and protocol termination through the proprietary distributed, highly available file system.
- Develop customer-facing features and enhance existing infrastructure to support product requirements and improve reliability.
- Drive new feature development, infrastructure improvements, and performance optimization in a complex distributed system.
- Collaborate with filesystem engineering, product management, program management, CP, SRE, and UX/UI teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of software development experience, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
- At least 2 years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: experience with data structures and algorithms, accessible technologies, low-level core engineering, clustered/distributed and concurrent programming, and low-level C++/C development.
