Responsibilities
- Build scalable backend systems for real-time payment processing, fraud prevention, API integrations, data synchronization, and user experience optimization.
- Design, code, test, and deploy software throughout the full development lifecycle.
- Work with TypeScript, Node.js, AWS, Python, relational databases, document databases, SAM CLI, and CloudFormation.
- Influence product direction and make architectural decisions as an all-around member of the engineering team.
- Help integrate Melio’s payment platform with Xero’s accounting software while maintaining reliability and security.
Requirements
- More than five years of professional experience in software engineering, architecture, and design.
- Experience with microservices architecture and running cloud-based production environments.
- Passion for technology, continuous learning, and getting outside one’s comfort zone.
- Collaborative team-oriented approach and willingness to work across the product experience and development lifecycle.
