Base Salary
$194k - $285k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering leadership and product managers to define and deliver AI products.
- Architect scalable, high-performance systems for AI-powered products.
- Drive technical strategy and architectural decisions to enhance product delivery.
- Own the engineering quality, reliability, and performance of AI products.
- Define long-term backend and infrastructure architecture for major initiatives.
- Ensure systems are designed for durability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Identify architectural risks and drive alignment on solutions.
- Lead API and service design strategy across domains.
- Mentor senior engineers and improve architectural capability across the organization.
Requirements
- BS/BA college degree or relevant experience.
- 10+ years of experience building and operating distributed systems.
- Experience architecting and scaling large backend systems.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems design and fault tolerance.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP and containerized systems.
- Strong API and service architecture experience.
- Ability to influence technical direction beyond immediate teams.
- Known for thoughtful system design and pragmatic decision-making.
