Base Salary
$107k - $161k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and maintain Angular-based frontend interfaces for banking professionals.
- Apply DevSecOps and Site Reliability Engineering practices to create secure, resilient, production-ready solutions.
- Use sound design principles and modern CI/CD practices throughout development and deployment.
- Assess applications for technical complexity and risks and recommend architectural or process improvements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and communicate technical approaches.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and technical documentation reviews.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of full-stack development experience, primarily focused on Java backend engineering.
- Deep proficiency in Java and Spring Boot and experience delivering production-grade backend systems.
- Experience building Angular applications with strong JavaScript and functional programming knowledge.
- Practical experience with Kafka, GraphQL, and NoSQL databases.
- Experience applying DevSecOps, security-first development, and CI/CD practices.
- Experience writing and maintaining comprehensive UI tests.
- Ability to own deliverables end to end and work effectively with limited direct supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with financial services technology, investment banking, or capital markets platforms is beneficial.
- Experience with architectural decisions, system design improvements, mentoring engineers, and technical review processes is beneficial.
