Engineer III - CICD DevOps
CrowdStrikeResponsibilities
- Deploy, upgrade, maintain, and operate production platform services across multiple clouds and regions on Kubernetes.
- Build and own CI/CD pipelines using GitOps workflows and release automation.
- Create control-plane APIs and tooling for repeatable, self-service provisioning and scaling.
- Perform capacity planning, usage forecasting, cluster right-sizing, and infrastructure cost management.
- Build observability through metrics, dashboards, alerts, distributed tracing, and actionable runbooks.
- Participate in on-call rotations, resolve incidents, write postmortems, and automate recurring operational problems.
- Automate deployments, upgrades, certificate rotations, failover, and other operational processes.
- Harden platform security through authentication, encryption, secret rotation, network policies, dependency patching, and CVE remediation.
- Develop backup strategies, test failover, and maintain disaster recovery capabilities for stateful systems.
- Enable engineering teams through templates, patterns, and direct platform support.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, SRE, and Data Services teams on shared operational problems.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering.
- Hands-on experience running stateful distributed systems on Kubernetes in production.
- Experience building and owning CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Tekton, or similar tools.
- Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or Crossplane.
- GitOps experience with ArgoCD or Flux.
- Observability experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and distributed tracing tools such as Jaeger or OpenTelemetry.
- Experience operating relational and NoSQL databases, including backup, restore, schema management, and performance tuning.
- Experience implementing authentication, encryption, secret management, and network policies.
- Experience managing infrastructure across multiple cloud providers or regions.
- Experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.
- Preferred experience with large-scale security platforms or telemetry pipelines, internal developer platforms, self-service tooling, service mesh, workflow orchestration, distributed tracing infrastructure, disaster recovery automation, or high-availability SaaS.
- Go proficiency is preferred, as the platforms and services are primarily written in Go.
- Open-source contributions or broader technology community involvement are preferred.
