Base Salary
$198k - $319k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define the technical solution and architecture for a new product
- Shape the product with Product and Design partners
- Lead the technical direction of the MCP Gateway and related services
- Mentor technical team members and participate in hiring loops
- Serve as the team’s technical point of contact
- Participate in on-call rotation, respond to incidents, debug production issues, and improve system reliability
- Help bring the product to market
Requirements
- 10+ years of backend engineering experience, including extensive work on production-grade distributed systems at scale
- Technical leadership across multiple teams or domains, including architectural vision, technical direction, and long-term product strategy
- Expertise designing and evolving large-scale cloud-native systems, distributed computing, service-oriented architecture, and performance optimization
- Experience building secure, resilient, and high-throughput backend services with reliability engineering principles
- Fluency in Go preferred, or another modern systems language such as Rust, Java, or C++
- Experience with software engineering fundamentals including testing strategy, source control, and deployment automation in complex multi-service environments
- Proven technical mentorship and cross-functional collaboration experience
- Deep experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and infrastructure-as-code tooling
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Bonus: experience with Kubernetes, Docker, microservices architecture, OpenAI or Anthropic LLM APIs, and the MCP specification
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously in distributed, remote-first teams
