Base Salary
$130k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead code and design reviews and establish development standards within the team.
- Participate in the full application lifecycle, including coding, debugging, design, deployment, and maintenance.
- Build reusable full-stack web applications and libraries using clean, scalable code.
- Develop and optimize UI, unit, integration, and automation tests and improve test coverage.
- Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and production issues, monitor system health, and implement proactive reliability measures.
- Design and maintain SQL and NoSQL data structures and caching strategies.
- Build and deploy cloud-native applications using Kubernetes and maintain environment configurations.
- Champion API-first software projects with scalable and extensible integrations.
- Lead mentoring and provide technical support to junior engineers and internal teams.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and resolve critical incidents with minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, system administrators, engineering, product, customers, and vendors.
- Lead adoption of AI-driven engineering practices, including code modernization, specification-driven development, and agentic workflows.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of related software development experience, or 6 years with an advanced degree.
- Strong programming skills in an object-oriented language such as Java or C# and proven full-stack development experience.
- Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React and Angular, plus HTML and CSS.
- In-depth understanding of the software development process from design through deployment.
- Experience developing and deploying applications for cloud-native infrastructure and using Kubernetes.
- Advanced experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, caching mechanisms, system optimization, and performance improvements.
- Deep practical understanding of REST API best practices, including security, scalability, and performance.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry and production-system monitoring and support.
- Advanced testing experience across unit, UI automation, and integration tests.
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and work effectively in an agile framework.
- Strong analytical, time-management, written, verbal, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred: master’s degree in engineering, technology, or a related field.
- Preferred: experience with SaaS offerings in the technology or financial industries.
- Preferred: experience deploying applications on Amazon Web Services using Kubernetes.
- Preferred: experience with cross-platform mobile development frameworks such as Flutter.
