Responsibilities

  • Drive technical direction, project scoping, milestones, KPI definition, and roadmap execution for the multimodal Human Sensing team.
  • Define dataset requirements, edge cases, collection protocols, and active learning strategies for identity recognition and human perception models.
  • Design and execute evaluation protocols, benchmarking methodologies, diagnostic tools, and automation for failure analysis.
  • Coordinate work across Data, Evaluation, Platform Integration, engineering, and management teams while mentoring engineers.
  • Perform hands-on failure analysis, model optimization for on-device performance, code reviews, and shared repository stewardship.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6+ years of industry experience in computer vision and machine learning.
  • Technical Lead or Staff-level experience driving project scoping, KPI definition, and cross-functional technical initiatives.
  • Strong expertise evaluating complex ML systems, defining benchmarks, and conducting deep-dive failure analysis.
  • Experience coordinating engineering teams, mentoring peers, and partnering with management on roadmap execution.
  • Deep proficiency in Python and PyTorch, with experience authoring maintainable code and managing shared repositories.
  • Preferred: experience with face recognition, identity re-identification, biometrics, pose, expression, human-object interaction, data collection and annotation, on-device optimization, foundation vision models, VLMs, LLMs, production ML pipelines, research publications, patents, or impactful software.
