Responsibilities
- Develop machine learning and large language models for open-domain question answering, retrieval, ranking, information synthesis, and summarization.
- Research and develop models for summarizing personal data such as emails, messages, and notifications.
- Collect and generate training data, fine-tune models, and evaluate model quality for NLP and RAG applications.
- Optimize and deploy large-scale models and transfer generative AI research into production-ready technologies.
- Lead complex cross-functional projects and influence research direction while collaborating with researchers and data scientists.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of work experience in machine learning, deep learning, or a related field.
- Experience modeling user behavior, including personalization, online learning, and recommendation systems.
- Experience developing machine learning or LLM models for NLP tasks and RAG applications, including prompt engineering, training data collection and generation, fine-tuning, and evaluation.
- Experience with Python and at least one deep learning framework such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX.
- At least 2 years of experience with advanced LLM fine-tuning techniques, such as supervised fine-tuning with rejection sampling, preference-based fine-tuning, parameter-efficient fine-tuning, hallucination reduction, factual accuracy improvements, or safety guardrails.
- At least 10 years of experience with large-scale model training, optimization, and deployment.
- At least 10 years of experience leading complex cross-functional projects and influencing research direction.
- Consistent record of researching, inventing, or shipping advanced machine learning models.
- PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
