Base Salary
$160k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-native platforms on AWS and GCP.
- Develop and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and Crossplane.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
- Manage containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Kustomize.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog.
- Improve infrastructure performance, stability, efficiency, and developer experience through automation and self-service tooling.
- Participate in the production infrastructure on-call rotation and respond to incidents.
- Implement security best practices, conduct security assessments, and support compliance with industry standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least four years of experience in a Platform Engineer, DevOps, or SRE role working with large-scale distributed systems.
- Deep technical experience with AWS or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible, Terraform, and/or Crossplane.
- Strong proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with GitHub Actions and ArgoCD for CI/CD automation.
- Proficiency in one or more of Python, Go, or Bash.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP networking fundamentals.
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
- Experience with cloud networking concepts such as VPCs, load balancing, and firewalls is preferred.
- Experience with ArgoWorkflows, internal developer platforms, service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd, and SQL or NoSQL database management is preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer are preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
