Responsibilities
- Design and deliver scalable, compliant, customer-centric architectures for onboarding, customer management, and advice journeys.
- Drive headless API-first, event-driven, streaming, and domain-oriented architectures across systems and channels.
- Define technology principles, constraints, security and scalability approaches, integration patterns, and architectural standards.
- Lead code reviews, prototype development, testing, configuration management, integration, build automation, and deployment activities.
- Set service-level objectives and develop observability standards for reliable production systems.
- Monitor project and product progress, architecture compliance, technology risks, regulatory requirements, and technology debt.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, business stakeholders, governance and control groups, and business partners.
- Mentor and train junior colleagues, contribute to capability development, and share engineering and architecture best practices.
- Resolve test and production issues and provide guidance on quality engineering and resilient software design.
- Provide thought leadership, technical subject matter expertise, and architectural guidance for complex, high-risk initiatives.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate; graduate degree preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant experience developing a variety of platforms.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical tool integration in complex environments.
- Depth and breadth in modern architecture practices, including public cloud, AKS/Kubernetes, UI frameworks, event-driven and streaming architectures, caching technologies, and relational and NoSQL databases.
- Expertise in Domain-Driven Design, including domain decomposition, bounded contexts, business capability modeling, scalable APIs, events, and reusable domain services.
- Exceptional collaboration, communication, and client-facing skills, with the ability to work autonomously on high-profile, complex, or high-risk technology projects.
- Experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, pair programming, and/or Test-Driven Development is an asset, including authoring unit, integration, and functional tests.
- Familiarity with Salesforce architecture, data models, integration patterns, and customer engagement capabilities is desirable.
- Strong business acumen and specialized knowledge of programming languages, bank standards, infrastructure, architecture, and technology solutions.
