Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver GenAI applications that enhance client experience and create business value.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and business leaders to align solutions with Schwab’s enterprise AI strategy.
  • Build and iterate AI solutions from concept through production while addressing complex technical challenges.
  • Support strong engineering standards, technical discussions, testing practices, and continuous learning.
  • Evaluate and monitor LLM-generated outputs for quality and consistency when applicable.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of software development experience and at least 1 year as a hands-on engineer in a startup or large organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience building and supporting products in production environments.
  • At least 1 year of experience developing applications that use AI models for business impact.
  • At least 1 year of experience with applications or data pipelines interfacing with large datasets.
  • At least 1 year of experience with containers and cloud-native applications, including public-cloud deployment and infrastructure as code.
  • Preferred qualifications include strong computer science fundamentals, experience across the technology stack, LLM-powered application experience, testing, LLM output evaluation, distributed systems, communication, mentoring, and continuous learning.
  • Experience with Python and front-end development is preferred but not required.
  • A master’s or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field is a plus.
