Responsibilities
- Support Product Management and Solutions Architecture with project estimation and development planning.
- Provide bottom-up development estimates, tasking, technical design support, and development resourcing input.
- Review business and technical specifications, service-level agreements, and requirements traceability information.
- Lead and coordinate development teams across onshore and offshore implementation efforts.
- Develop, enhance, optimize, and maintain enterprise-class J2EE applications and client-facing REST services.
- Support database setup, data conversion, QA technical issues, integration testing, UAT, and deployment activities.
- Coordinate technical reviews for deployments and contribute to implementation plans, production-readiness workbooks, and operations runbooks.
- Participate in defect analysis, disaster recovery reviews, security scanning, remediation, and release stabilization.
- Provide 24x7 production support, analyze technical issues, and identify root causes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- At least 3 years of total experience as a full-stack Java developer.
- Extensive hands-on experience with server-side and web-services development on the J2EE platform.
- Experience participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with J2EE application servers, authentication and authorization, caching strategies, REST services, and REST security using JWT or OAuth.
- Hands-on programming experience with Java, J2EE, REST/SOAP, HTML5, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS3, Bootstrap, Webix JS, Spring, JSON, XML, JWT, OAuth, Postman, and ReadyAPI or similar technologies.
- Experience developing self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and owning the full web-services stack.
- At least 1 year of experience with Federal or State-level Health and Human Services programs, including SNAP and TANF.
- At least 1 year of experience with eligibility and enrollment.
- Preferred experience with Agile development methodologies, CI/CD, containerized application deployments, and cloud-based web applications.
