Base Salary
$92k - $147k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications and services.
- Build APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems integrating AI and machine learning capabilities.
- Develop AI agents, skills, and Model Context Protocol integrations to automate workflows and enhance applications.
- Contribute to software architecture, technical designs, system integrations, and technology evaluations.
- Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, resource utilization, resiliency, fault tolerance, and availability.
- Apply secure coding and security-by-design practices, remediate vulnerabilities, and support security and compliance requirements.
- Troubleshoot software defects, production issues, and incidents while contributing to operational readiness and continuous service improvement.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, developers, business stakeholders, and security teams.
Requirements
- Proficient experience developing backend applications with Java/J2EE and Spring Boot for building and consuming RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures.
- Knowledge of microservice architecture, SQL, relational data concepts, software design principles, object-oriented programming, and architecture patterns.
- Experience designing scalable applications and distributed systems using data structures, algorithms, and computational problem-solving techniques.
- Experience with source control, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD practices, cloud-native applications, containerization, and orchestration technologies.
- Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and application performance management tools.
- Experience with AI-enabled applications, automation solutions, intelligent enterprise services, AI agents, or AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code.
- Proficient analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.

- Competitive base salary of $92,000–$147,000 for the O’Fallon, Missouri location, with possible annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
