Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the team to identify and scope well-defined engineering tasks.
- Design, implement, and deliver scalable backend systems for the incident lifecycle.
- Build automated detection, validation, conflation, and delivery capabilities for live road updates.
- Collaborate with the MapGPT team to evolve the Feedback Agent and incorporate real-time customer insights.
- Test and monitor systems, write documentation, and support operational excellence.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, including possible immediate responses outside normal working hours and on weekends.
- Reduce technical debt, improve application performance, share knowledge, and support teammates.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-time backend-focused development experience.
- 3+ years of experience working with distributed systems, preferably using AWS-based tools or Azure or GCP alternatives.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams of 5+ people.
- 3+ years of product-focused development experience.
- Ability to integrate AI thoughtfully into engineering design, development, and decision-making workflows.
