Responsibilities
- Design and architect flexible platform building blocks for the PagerDuty Platform.
- Design, code, test, and ship secure, reliable, and scalable frontend interfaces and libraries.
- Develop frontend architecture patterns that scale across the engineering organization.
- Curate the frontend design system and collaborate with Product, UX, customers, partners, and other engineering teams.
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Mentor and teach frontend skills to other engineers.
- Own and shepherd team projects and align stakeholders on technical direction.
- Participate in the on-call team rotation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and managing web applications with a modern component-based framework.
- Deep understanding of semantic HTML and client-side JavaScript.
- Knowledge of frontend engineering areas including state management, performance, accessibility, styling, and infrastructure.
- Strong experience designing and building REST APIs.
- Experience with React, TypeScript, Node, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and AI-driven development.
- Experience with public cloud engineering on AWS, Azure, or GCP platforms.
- Ability to communicate clearly, facilitate technical discussions, and collaborate effectively.
- Experience with a component library or design system, distributed React applications, or developer platforms is particularly valued.
- Experience with agile delivery methodologies such as scrum, kanban, or lean is expected.
