Responsibilities

  • Design and architect flexible platform building blocks for the PagerDuty Platform.
  • Design, code, test, and ship secure, reliable, and scalable frontend interfaces and libraries.
  • Develop frontend architecture patterns that scale across the engineering organization.
  • Curate the frontend design system and collaborate with Product, UX, customers, partners, and other engineering teams.
  • Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Mentor and teach frontend skills to other engineers.
  • Own and shepherd team projects and align stakeholders on technical direction.
  • Participate in the on-call team rotation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building and managing web applications with a modern component-based framework.
  • Deep understanding of semantic HTML and client-side JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of frontend engineering areas including state management, performance, accessibility, styling, and infrastructure.
  • Strong experience designing and building REST APIs.
  • Experience with React, TypeScript, Node, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and AI-driven development.
  • Experience with public cloud engineering on AWS, Azure, or GCP platforms.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, facilitate technical discussions, and collaborate effectively.
  • Experience with a component library or design system, distributed React applications, or developer platforms is particularly valued.
  • Experience with agile delivery methodologies such as scrum, kanban, or lean is expected.
