Base Salary
$164k - $257k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable GTM Store and ZDP infrastructure with sub-second query latency.
- Architect metadata-driven GraphQL APIs for dynamic schema generation and federated queries.
- Develop asynchronous secondary indexing systems to increase capacity and reduce primary data-store load.
- Design real-time analytics streaming pipelines from Bigtable to BigQuery.
- Build data mutation, deletion, CDC, calculated-field, and schema-evolution frameworks, including GDPR support.
- Create batch and streaming workflows for complex relationships at scale.
- Build observability and monitoring solutions for distributed data systems.
- Define the technical roadmap with engineering leaders and product managers.
- Mentor engineers and establish best practices for cloud-native data infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive solutions for data freshness, query performance, and reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience building large-scale data platforms.
- Expertise with distributed NoSQL databases and data warehousing systems.
- Strong experience with Java 8+, Scala, Kotlin, or Go for data-systems development.
- Experience with GCP or AWS and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience with streaming and real-time data processing technologies.
- Strong system-design skills for multi-tenant distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services.
- Knowledge of CDC patterns, event sourcing, and streaming architectures.
- Experience addressing data freshness and consistency challenges in distributed systems.
- Experience building observability and monitoring solutions for data platforms.
- Familiarity with metadata management and schema evolution.
- Experience deploying data services with Kubernetes.
- Expertise in SQL query optimization and performance tuning.
- Experience building federated or metadata-driven GraphQL APIs.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and independent initiative skills.
