Responsibilities
- Deliver business-critical product contributions and own customer experiences end to end.
- Lead projects across TypeScript, React, Node.js services, Kubernetes, data pipelines, and platform infrastructure.
- Lead architecture for data ingestion, modeling, storage, orchestration, and Medallion Architecture implementations.
- Design and maintain pipelines for onboarding data domains and integrating them into product-facing services.
- Improve observability through metrics, lineage, SLAs/SLOs, and alerting.
- Optimize systems for performance, scale, resiliency, and maintainability.
- Mentor engineers and lead complex cross-functional projects.
- Communicate technical solutions, progress, and business alignment to leadership.
- Evaluate and implement AI-powered tools and practices for development, testing, delivery, and observability.
Requirements
- 10+ years of industry experience in software or platform engineering delivering scalable, high-performance systems in enterprise environments.
- Proficiency with React and TypeScript and modern front-end architecture and design patterns.
- Strong Node.js backend development experience and experience building microservices on Kubernetes.
- Cloud infrastructure and operations experience with AWS; Azure or GCP experience is helpful.
- Experience with Kafka, Spark Structured Streaming, data streaming, event-driven processing, and distributed ETL or batch processing.
- Expertise designing and consuming REST, GraphQL, or gRPC APIs.
- Database design, performance tuning, and indexing experience across PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Iceberg, and Parquet.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools.
- Understanding of API security, sensitive-data handling, authentication, and authorization using OAuth and JWT.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools while maintaining code quality, security review, and architectural integrity.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with multiple releases per day.
- Experience with Agile development, sprint planning, cross-functional alignment, analytical problem-solving, and complex technical issue resolution.
- Preferred experience with BI semantic layers, Medallion Architecture, Trino/Presto, graph or search systems, cybersecurity, SIEM, internationalization/localization frameworks, LLM-based production capabilities, or Agile Scrum.
