Responsibilities
- Deploy machine learning models efficiently and reliably into production environments.
- Monitor model performance for issues such as model drift and maintain model accuracy and effectiveness.
- Automate data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and other ML pipeline activities.
- Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and IT operations to integrate ML models into business processes.
- Manage model version control and support compliance with governance policies.
- Optimize the performance and scalability of machine learning systems.
- Explore cloud tools and technologies that help data science teams implement their use cases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience; equivalent experience is defined as four years of professional corporate work experience.
- At least two years of experience in software engineering and analytics technology, including academic experience.
- Experience using Python or similar programming languages for scripting, data processing, or ML workflows.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP for developing, deploying, or supporting data or machine learning solutions.
- Exposure to Git-based workflows, automated testing, builds, and deployments.
- Understanding of the machine learning lifecycle, including experimentation, model versioning, and reproducibility.
- Foundational knowledge of data ingestion, transformation, validation, storage, and data pipeline development.
- Experience contributing to Python-based backend APIs and basic front-end views or dashboards.
- Experience handling large datasets, writing SQL, and using data visualization tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot ML models and infrastructure, solve complex problems, and develop solutions independently.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively in a team environment.
- Preferred familiarity with OpenShift, Kubernetes, containerized applications, Terraform, and Databricks.
- Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
