Responsibilities
- Manage and build projects involving hybrid cloud, on-premises, and bare-metal infrastructure.
- Configure and maintain internal services and deploy application and infrastructure environments.
- Build and maintain monitoring and log-management systems for production services.
- Deploy, test, and manage Kubernetes clusters and improve existing infrastructure.
- Drive performance and integration testing and perform root-cause analysis for production errors.
- Build and support local and global networks, including advanced routing, ACLs, firewalls, and VPN tunnels.
- Collaborate with software development and QA teams on software delivery and operational support.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call coverage in the event of a disaster.
Requirements
- More than four years of continuous experience in DevOps or IT systems administration.
- Practical experience deploying and administering Unix/Linux servers, including Debian, Ubuntu, RHEL, or CentOS.
- Experience building and maintaining hybrid infrastructures and implementing CI/CD, with GitHub Actions as a plus.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or SaltStack.
- Experience with virtualization, containerization, cloud-based DevOps, Terraform, infrastructure as code, and policy as code.
- Hands-on Kubernetes experience deploying, testing, and managing clusters.
- Proficiency with Git, Bash or Python scripting, application and infrastructure monitoring, and log-management tools.
- Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and clustering, including PostgreSQL in the stated technology stack.
- Understanding of common IT security practices, ISO 27001, SOC 2 requirements, and CIS benchmarks.
- Advanced networking experience covering local and global networks, ACLs, firewalls, VPN tunnels, and advanced routing.
- Ability to perform production root-cause analysis and work effectively with software development and QA teams.
- Experience with AWS or GCP and Microsoft 365 is advantageous.
