Base Salary

$120k - $140k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own production bugs and issues through reproduction, diagnosis, implementation, verification, and customer confirmation.
  • Drive ambiguous reports to root causes across web applications, APIs, and banking integrations.
  • Orchestrate AI coding agents through diagnostic and repair workflows while identifying incorrect agent conclusions.
  • Ship reviewed pull requests with evidence attached to each ticket.
  • Build and extend internal MCP servers, triage agents, slash-command workflows, and other engineering tooling.
  • Write plain-language root-cause explanations for customers.
  • Fix recurring classes of bugs and strengthen alerts, runbooks, and guardrails.
  • Help determine how the support engineering function scales as the team grows.

Requirements

  • 2 to 6 years of experience writing production software, ideally in a customer- or incident-facing environment.
  • Strong TypeScript skills and comfort working across React, Node, SQL, and third-party APIs.
  • Ability to debug by analyzing logs, traces, and databases and testing hypotheses.
  • Daily experience with AI coding agents and judgment about their limitations and failure modes.
  • Ability to prove fixes through testing and evidence rather than assertion.
  • Ability to explain technical failures clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong self-management and comfort working in an evolving process.
  • Experience at a fintech or regulated company is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Next.js, tRPC, AWS, Sentry, Axiom, or Datadog is preferred.
  • Experience with multi-tenant systems, internal tooling, MCP servers, or agent workflows is preferred.
