Responsibilities
- Design, build, and refine end-to-end system features from user interfaces through backend code.
- Develop and maintain scalable Node.js services and JavaScript/TypeScript APIs.
- Integrate LLM APIs, structured outputs, retrieval-augmented generation, streaming responses, timeouts, retries, and asynchronous error handling.
- Use approved AI coding assistants for code generation, refactoring, debugging, and unit/integration testing, while validating generated code for correctness, security, performance, and dependency risk.
- Apply asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, RESTful API design, database modeling, and collaborative version-control workflows.
- Act as a subject matter expert, collaborate across multiple teams, and contribute to key technical and team decisions.
- Lead best-practice improvements, improve team productivity and quality, and mentor junior team members.
- Support solutions involving capital markets, securities, trading, portfolio management, investment operations, and related financial services processes.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of overall experience is required, with at least 5 years of Node.js experience stated in the additional information.
- Proficiency in Node.js and experience with server-side development and scalable web applications.
- Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
- Familiarity with RESTful API design and integration, database systems, data modeling, version control, and collaborative development workflows.
- Hands-on experience with approved coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, including context-rich prompting, generated-code review, and automated test validation.
- Ability to integrate LLM APIs, implement structured outputs and retrieval-augmented generation, and evaluate response quality, latency, cost, prompt-injection resistance, and sensitive-data handling.
- Knowledge of capital markets and investment management, including securities, trading, portfolio management, investment operations, and related financial services processes.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
