Responsibilities
- Develop code for new and existing features in RBC’s Android Banking and Avion apps.
- Use AI assistance in code development.
- Review technical documents and requirements.
- Coordinate with teams to identify, track, and resolve technical issues.
- Participate in reviews of technical specifications, programs, and unit test plans.
- Estimate design, coding, and unit-testing activities and improve estimation accuracy.
- Improve application efficiency and performance using Android Studio analysis tools.
- Facilitate small-group meetings for technical design, problem solving, and task implementation.
Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership acumen, strong interpersonal and communication skills, creativity, and self-directed teamwork.
- Experience or understanding of programming languages, databases, platforms, and code version-control tools.
- Strong knowledge of Java and object-oriented design.
- A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent degree from an accredited university or college.
- Strong knowledge of the Android framework and Kotlin is preferred.
- Knowledge of Compose is preferred.
- Exposure to Git, Confluence, and Jira is preferred.
