Base Salary
$123k - $221k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect scalable, modular, resilient, and maintainable software systems and define APIs, service contracts, and integration strategies.
- Develop production-grade software in Go and/or Python, including microservices, Kubernetes controllers, automation agents, reusable libraries, and platform tooling.
- Design Kubernetes platform components, operators, GitOps workflows, Helm packaging, cluster lifecycle automation, and fleet-level configuration management.
- Build infrastructure automation, configuration transformation systems, air-gapped image distribution, local OCI registry integration, and secure configuration and secret management.
- Implement comprehensive unit, integration, and system testing, automated validation pipelines, continuous integration workflows, and release-quality practices.
- Design telemetry and observability pipelines, define reliability standards and SLOs, lead root cause analysis, and improve systemic reliability.
- Own complex software subsystems end-to-end, provide architectural leadership, mentor engineers, and drive cross-team technical alignment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline.
- Extensive hands-on experience building production-grade software systems.
- Strong programming expertise in Go and/or Python.
- Deep understanding of software design principles, distributed systems, and scalable architectures.
- Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and GitOps-based workflows.
- Proven ability to lead complex software initiatives and mentor engineers.
- Experience building Kubernetes operators or controllers.
- Background in edge computing or air-gapped environments.
- Familiarity with CNI technologies and network policy enforcement.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry-based observability stacks.
- Experience in avionics, embedded, or mission-critical software environments.
