Responsibilities
- Architect solutions and contribute to the Azure Local product vision.
- Incubate ideas, develop proofs of concept, translate them into feature requirements, and deliver features through global rollout.
- Build and operate reliable distributed systems and Azure edge solutions.
- Review code and designs, mentor engineers, establish coding practices, and improve development velocity through automation and process improvements.
- Collaborate with Azure platform teams and cross-geo groups to remove blockers and deliver end-to-end services.
- Use open-source and Microsoft data platforms to build solutions.
- Support customer cases and coordinate with internal teams and customers to resolve issues within SLA timelines.
- Partner with product management on customer workshops and translate feedback into engineering requirements.
- Promote AI-driven development and lead complex projects through high-quality end-to-end delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of technical engineering experience with commercial software development.
- Coding experience in languages including C#, .NET, Golang, Java, or Python.
- Experience building, shipping, and operating reliable large-scale distributed systems software.
- Ability to engage in site-reliability engineering practices.
- Experience with microservices architecture, Kubernetes, and Helm charts.
- Understanding of basic computer networking; data center networking knowledge is an added advantage.
- Experience with Azure and knowledge of security compliance for public cloud services.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, collaboration, customer and stakeholder management, and end-to-end delivery skills.
